Original guide: [Guide] Equipment! by softmelody

Concepts

Items and equipment are obtained though Construction and Destruction. They can also be obtained via monster drops and quests, or (for basic equipment) bought in stores. Once obtained, equippable-type items can be greatly enhanced through Reinforcing, [Sage Stone]-ing, and Enchanting.

Some equipment already has magical bonuses attached to it, the maximum values for which grow with higher level requirements:
-Green text: Bonuses that are always present on every copy of the same item made from item Construction. Set bonuses are also green, and also always appear on every item in the set. Will not disappear when the item is Reinforced nor when the item is [Sage Stone]'d.
-Yellow text: Bonuses that can appear when the item is synthesized, but will not always appear. Will not disappear when the item is Reinforced nor when the item is [Sage Stone]'d.
-Purple text: Bonuses added via equipment Reinforcement. These do not vary in value by the level requirement of the item, but instead by the rarity, unlike the other types of bonuses. They will disappear when the item is Reinforced a second time, but will not disappear when the item is [Sage Stone]'d.
-Blue text: Bonuses added via equipment [Sage Stone]-ing. Will disappear when the item is [Sage Stone]'d a second time, but will not disappear when the item is Reinforced.

About Construction and Descruction:

Items can be Constructed using a recipe/mold and materials. They can also be Destructed to obtain some of the materials that compose them. It's a complex topic that I can only sum up as "the essence of crafting in Luna".

About Reinforcing:

Using up to 100x of a gemstone, you can Reinforce equipment by adding your own fixed magical bonuses. Reinforcing the item a second time will replace the existing Reinforcement-related bonuses if the Reinforcing is successful, but leave them alone if the Reinforcing fails. Reinforcing an item more than once generates a whole new set of bonuses, which may be higher, or may be lower, than the bonuses from the previous Reinforcements.

Equipment names are color-coding to indicate rarity:
-White: Common items.
-Green: Uncommon items.
-Blue: Rare items.
-Red: Super Rare items.
Common and Uncommon equipment requires standard gemstones to Reinforce, while Rare and Super Rare equipment requires high-grade gemstones to Reinforce.

About [Sage Stone]-ing:

Using 1 Sage Stone, you can add random magical bonuses (up to 5, including the possibility of multiples of the same bonus). This also happens automatically for equipment that drops from a monster (one time only per item dropped, at the time that it's dropped). [Sage Stone]-ing the item a second time, or [Sage Stone]-ing a monster drop item, will replace the existing Sage Stone-related bonuses. [Sage Stone]-ing an item more than once generates a whole new set of bonuses, which may be higher, or may be lower, than the bonuses from the previous [Sage Stone]-ings.

About Enchanting:

And finally, using 1 enchant scroll, you can enchant equipment to add upgrades to it:
- The enchant scroll is consumed in the upgrade attempt, regardless of success or failure.
- Higher upgrades give the equipment higher PATK (weapons), MATK (weapons), PDEF (armor), or MDEF (jewelry). Stronger equipment gets a larger boost from each upgrade.
- +0 to +1 has 100% success.
- +2 and higher can fail. Failure destroys the equipment. The chance for success at each upgrade is not currently known by me. The maximum upgrade level is not currently known by me (maybe +10? maybe no limit?).
- When enchanting to upgrades in the range of +2 to +6, a cash shop item can protect your equipment from destruction if the upgrade attempt fails. When an item is protected, the previous upgrade level (+1, +2, +3, +4, or +5) will not be lost on failure.
- If used, the cash shop item is consumed in the upgrade attempt, regardless of success or failure.
- When enchanting to +7 and higher upgrade levels, there is no way to protect the item when the upgrade attempt fails. However, from upgrade level +8 and higher, the bonus ATK/DEF growth becomes much higher, to reward your good luck.

Enchanted items will begin to have an aura as the upgrade level rises:

- white --> green --> blue --> red
Important note: If you plan to Reinforce and/or [Sage Stone] an item, do any Enchanting first. This is because, any gemstones or Sage Stones used on the item will be lost if it breaks during Enchanting, so save them for the item you manage to successfully Enchant up to the upgrade level you want.
